Assistant Quantity Surveyor (Interior Design)

Job Role

  • To assist QS Superior for job responsibilities.
  • In depth understanding of full cycle of ID BQ, Specifications, and Contracts.
  • Must be familiar with pre-contract and post-contract work such as tender preparation, request for quotation, cost analysis, evaluating claims and payment certification, issue Purchase Orders, evaluating and comparing quotations, etc.
  • Good follow-up and organization skills.
  • Project administration and documentation include preparation of interim valuations, pricing and agreement of contract variations, update claim submissions, preparation of final account.
  • Manage sub-con payments and main-con claims.
  • Manage back charges to sub-contractors.
  • Job site visiting and monitor site progress.
  • Prepare award of contract, checked contract documents and recommend contractor’s evaluation.
  • Able to do hands-on matters such as measurement/taking off during pre, post and final contract stages.
  • Collaborate with consultants, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Acquire quotations from contractors and suppliers for the purpose of cost assessment, analysis or budgeting.
  • Able to maintain proper and systematic documentation filing system for outgoing and incoming contract correspondences.
  • To attend contract consultant meetings, site meetings, site valuation, site measurement and relevant regular meetings.
  • Input on-going development of new templates, documents, systems and processes for Contract and Procurement management to incorporate lessons learned and efficiencies.
  • To undertake other ad-hoc duties as appropriate and as assigned by superior.

Job Description

  • Minimum Diploma/ Degree in Quantity Surveyor or any relevant / equivalent field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience.
  • Possess knowledge on ID QS in interior design and build.
  • Good attitude, passionate in learning and punctuality.
  • Possess own transport and willing to travel.
